It’s the final week to nominate candidates for the 2025 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards, Lexpert’s annual celebration of Canada’s most exceptional lawyers aged 40 and under.
Nominations must be submitted here. Lexpert will accept submissions until 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday, July 4, 2025.
To be eligible, nominated lawyers must have been born in 1985 or later. Each nominee requires a separate nomination form.
Each year, Lexpert celebrates Canada’s bright young stars in law firms, legal departments, governments, and academia.
“I accepted to join the Lexpert Rising Stars judging panel because I truly believe in the importance of recognizing and supporting young legal talent who are already shaping the future of our profession,” said Catherine Ross, chief people officer and general counsel at Groupe ALDO and one of this year’s judges.
“It’s a great opportunity to highlight their commitment, innovation, and impact.”
“Young lawyers represent the future of our profession. Their accomplishments must not only be recognized, but celebrated, so that they are encouraged to be the best,” said senior director, legal affairs and assistant corporate secretary at Birks Group Inc., Gassim Bangoura, another of this year's judges.
Set to take place at Toronto’s Liberty Grand on Thursday, November 20, this year’s gala will be hosted by Jennifer Hsiung, who co-anchors CP24 Breakfast, Toronto’s most-watched morning show.
