Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer will accept nominations until 11:59 pm EST on January 30, 2026
Amid the frenzy of the holiday season, don’t forget to submit your nominations for the 2026 Canadian Law Awards, Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer’s seventh annual celebration of exceptional achievements, organizations and individuals across Canada’s legal industry.
Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer will accept nominations across 23 award categories until 11:59 pm EST on January 30, 2026. The awards recognize outstanding successes and lifetime achievements at in-house legal departments and law firms, innovative uses of technology, top boutique and regional firms, exceptional legal leaders, and more.
To be considered, nominations must be submitted via the Canadian Law Awards website before the deadline.
Each year, Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer selects Canadian Law Awards winners through a rigorous multi-stage process.
The 2026 Excellence Awardees, a shortlist of award nominees chosen by the Canadian Law Awards team based on industry expertise, will be announced on March 16. A shortlist of top deals will be announced separately in April.
These shortlists will then be reviewed by an independent panel of judges, who will score each nominee according to applicable criteria.
The nominees with the highest tallied scores in each category will be announced on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at an awards gala at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
