Canadian Lawyer continues the search for nominees for the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers of 2026.
This recognition honours legal professionals whose work over the past 18 months has made a real difference in Canada’s legal community.
From handling significant legal matters to driving change within organizations and institutions, these lawyers are advancing the profession in notable ways.
The final list will include five lawyers selected from each of the following categories:

Changemakers

Government, Non-profits, Associations, and Judiciary
If you know a lawyer whose work stands out, now is the time to ensure their achievements are recognized.
Submit your nomination before entries close on Friday, April 17.
Lawyers who have received this recognition within the past five years are not eligible.
Qualifying nominees will advance to a public voting stage, and the results will be reviewed by the editorial board to determine the final Top 25.
The winners will be announced on the website in September.
