Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP has announced the expansion of its Calgary office in Bankers Hall West, which seeks to support the firm’s efforts to grow in the region, meet client demand, and affirm its commitment to the province’s business community.

“Our new space reflects Cassels’ growth, our ongoing dedication to serving the Calgary community, and the culture of collaboration that defines our work,” said Jeffrey Oliver, Calgary lead partner.

“The project transformed Cassels' workspaces at Bankers Hall West with specific attention on gathering spaces and best-in-class wellness amenities,” added Caleb Salomons, HOK’s director of design (interiors). “The result is a workplace that reflects both the firm's stature and its future ambitions.”

HOK is a global design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm.

Cassels shared that the two-level office features:

  • modern client spaces
  • wellness-focused staff spaces
  • enhanced staff amenities
  • a hospitality lounge for client engagement
  • private client meeting rooms that can seamlessly transition into event venues for large-scale gatherings and celebrations

“At the heart of the design is a suite of client-facing and hosting spaces that wrap the entire south end of the building, offering sweeping panoramic views to the east, south, and west,” Salomons said. “A series of operable wall meeting room fronts transforms this zone into a dramatic, flexible venue capable of hosting more than 200 guests.”

Cassels said the modernized design of its Calgary office aims to offer adaptable, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and people-first spaces. The firm added that the investment seeks to reflect its vision of providing environments where lawyers and clients can connect, work, and succeed together.

According to Oliver, the new office space “demonstrates our long-term commitment to serving the needs of our clients and our city in a space designed to ensure every interaction, whether in person or virtual, is as meaningful as possible.”

Oliver belongs to the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice group.
