Kelly Charlebois, Riccardo Del Vecchio, Nicole Taylor-Smith, Claudia Desjardins Bélisle promoted
Miller Thomson LLP has announced the appointments of the following partners as members of its executive committee: Michael J. Morcom as Western regional managing partner and Kenneth R. Rosenstein as Ontario regional managing partner.
In its announcement, the firm also named the following partners as office managing partners:

- Riccardo Del Vecchio – Vaughan
- Nicole T. Taylor-Smith – Calgary
- Claudia Desjardins Bélisle – Montreal
Miller Thomson expressed gratitude to Peter Auvinen, Sandra L. Hawes, and Nora Osbaldeston for their contributions as they wrapped up their executive committee terms.

Michael Morcom
Based in Calgary, Michael Morcom heads the firm’s financial services group. His experience covers secured transactions, opinion mandates, and commercial and residential real estate matters. He assists lenders and borrowers with corporate finance and mid-market financing transactions.
His practice encompasses various industries, including real estate development, hotel finance, construction, automotive finance, equipment leasing, aircraft finance, food, agriculture, and professional sports.
Kenneth Rosenstein
Kenneth Rosenstein is licensed in Ontario and Alberta and based in the firm’s Toronto office. Experienced in asset-based lending, he focuses on all aspects of corporate and commercial finance and creditor enforcement matters.
He acts for banks and financial institutions in various financing structures. He guides his clients as they navigate competitive landscapes and risk management matters. His background is in the financial services industry.
Kelly Charlebois
Kelly Charlebois leads Miller Thomson’s national estates and trusts group. Her practice covers capacity-related proceedings, will challenges, guardianship applications, and disputes alleging breach of trust.
She has garnered experience representing high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and charitable organizations. She has a background in commercial litigation.
Riccardo Del Vecchio
Del Vecchio co-heads the firm’s construction litigation group. He focuses on construction and commercial litigation and handles construction claims, real estate disputes, debt recovery, and contractual issues.
His client work covers construction liens, contractual breach claims, warranty disputes, and negligence claims. He navigates all aspects of traditional litigation in various courts, settlement negotiations, and arbitrations.
Nicole Taylor-Smith
Taylor-Smith is a restructuring and insolvency lawyer experienced in commercial loan enforcement, creditors’ remedies, and commercial real estate matters. Her clients include secured creditors, court-appointed receivers and trustees, purchasers, and debtors.
She offers strategic advice and advocacy to clients in matters concerning mortgage enforcement, personal property and security interests, commercial property and equipment leasing, and priority disputes.
Claudia Desjardins Bélisle
She leads the firm’s national labour and employment group. She focuses on defending employers in proceedings regarding restrictive covenants and the protection of confidential information. She helps clients resolve shareholder disputes and preserve electronic evidence.
Her client work also encompasses unionization campaigns, collective bargaining, and routine human resources issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
