Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP has announced the appointment of Mark Braidwood as a Vancouver-based partner in the firm’s construction and infrastructure, commercial and business litigation, and insurance practice groups.
According to a news release from Singleton Reynolds, Braidwood focuses his practice on dispute resolution, particularly construction-related claims such as delay and performance disputes.
In his construction law practice, he has assisted property owners, developers, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and other construction industry participants with multijurisdictional matters.
In his commercial litigation practice, Braidwood has dealt with shareholder and partnership disputes, director and officer liability matters, contractual and business disputes, product liability claims, leasing issues, and matters involving the sale of goods.
Meanwhile, in his insurance law practice, he has advised insurers and insureds alike. He has helped defend coverage claims and prosecute subrogated claims.
Braidwood’s client base has included engineers, architects, biologists, financial advisors, insurance brokers and agents, home inspectors, private nurses, and other professionals.
According to the firm’s news release, he has also handled arbitrations, mediations, administrative proceedings, disciplinary matters, WorkSafeBC investigations, and complex disputes. He has appeared at trial and on appeal before at all levels of BC courts.

He joined Clyde & Co in July 2021, where he worked as a partner. At SHK Law Corporation, which merged with Clyde & Co, he served as a principal beginning in 2006 and as an associate since 1997.
At the Canadian Bar Association’s BC branch, Braidwood has been a member of the civil litigation, insurance, and construction sections. He has also belonged to the Vancouver Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
He has lectured for the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association, Continuing Legal Education of British Columbia, and the University of British Columbia’s engineering undergraduate program, among other organizations.
Braidwood joined the Yukon bar in 2025 and the BC bar in 1997. He received an LLB accreditation from the University of New Brunswick in 1996, an LLB from the University of Kent in England, UK, in 1994, and a BA in economics from the University of British Columbia in 1990.
